Task analysis

Task analysis is used in the first stage of defining the users’ problem. It is the result of observation of how a typical user solves the problem or achieves goals, interacting with the interface. Task analysis is usually a part of vaster analytics, and it can be successfully held if necessary moments are noted:

 

  • A clear understanding of users’ goals
  • Each step the users take to complete the tasks
  • Accounting personal and cultural experience of users brought to the task complement
  • Environment and surroundings of the participants
