Scroll bar

A tool appearing if the container, the user is interacting with, is scrollable. Often, the scroll bar reveals itself only after the user starts to scroll the page. Although not every website or app has the scroll bar, still it is a sign of good UX to show scrollable content for preventing possible users’ confusion.

Horizontal scrolling is considered to be undesirable, because a typical user’s expectation regards vertical one, and a two-dimensional scroll forces the user to change the viewpoint, which is extremely uncomfortable.
