User story

A user story is a crucial part of an agile software development. It describes functions of a software from the customer’s point of view — as he or she would describe. It is basically built up from several sentences in the following structure:

As a ‘role’, I am willing to ‘do the following’ to achieve ‘this’.

These short notes are usually done by users themselves  or written down from their oral request. Analyzing the user story, a developers’ team tries to solve a set of issues:

  1. What role is going to get a new function
  2. How the intentions are going to be carried out in general
  3. What the profit from the aim achieving is

Thus, the method of user stories provides designing a convenient and truly desirable product.
